Policy

At Holt Transition Strategies, we assist organizations in creating policy to reflect their goals and are passionate about empowering women to advance women’s issues in policy-making at all levels.

I work with organizations to create policy frameworks that support goals and objectives of transitions. Concurrently, I promote policies that empower women as leaders and advocates for women’s rights, gender equity and healthcare and reproductive freedom.

How we can help:

I work with stakeholders to determine organization goals and desired outcomes, while creating structures and policy to attain success.

I’ve advanced policy by:

• Conducting the 2015 Expert Group Meeting (EGM) for UN Habitat on the subject of “Women and Urbanization”. I organized and facilitated this meeting of 42 international experts on women’s issues and urbanization to identify gender policy recommendations to be incorporated into the UN’s final document on urbanization, “New Urban Agenda”.

• Organizing political campaigns for local and state government candidates. I worked with candidates to determine and communicate their policy, while overseeing the operations of their campaigns and staff.

• Serving on the board of the Texas Medical Association PAC. I participated in all policy discussions and decisions that impacted health care in Texas.
